Vegan MoFo: Vegan Month of Cultured Cheese on YouTube!

It’s Vegan MoFo and my theme for this month is vegan cultured cheese! Regular vegan cheese usually just uses flavouring ingredients to mimic dairy cheese but there always seems to be something missing. Cultured cheese actually uses probiotics, that’s good bacteria, to produce complex blends of sharp, tangy, and funky flavours. The kind of vegan cheese that will make you stop and wonder, can this really be vegan?

I’m going to attempt to post a video EVERY SINGLE DAY for the month of September so wish me luck! Super ambitious, I know. I’ll be posting a kind of easy start-up guide to making cultured vegan cheese from creating your own probiotic culture (in the form of rejuvelac), lots of recipes, a couple international giveaways, and round ups from other Vegan MoFo bloggers/vloggers. What is Vegan MoFo?
VeganMoFo (Vegan Month of Food) was originally created on the Post Punk Kitchen, as an homage to NaNoWriMo. Because we do want to write novels, but sometimes cooking gets in the way. So why not combine them!”

    Very excited about an entire monty of Vegan Cultured Cheese! I’d like to learn how to prepare a sharp cheddar and jack, mozzarella, feta to start. If possible, what about bleu cheese? Of course, will enjoy whatever cultured cheese receipts you share. What a great idea for the month. Thanks!
