Vegan Juicing without a Juicer!

I was trying to make “raw” bread and most recipes called for juice pulp as if this was the most common thing to have on hand in the world! I don’t have a juicer, but I DO have sheer determination!

This was my method. Cut up my veggies and fruit into small pieces, no bigger than 1 cm cubed, so that my little stick blender could handle it. I blended the ingredients until smooth. Then, I slowly strained the mixture, a little at a time, through a fine wire mesh sieve. It was slow going, but the work was actually quite relaxing. I used a wooden spoon to stir around the pulp and press it dry, removing the pulp from the sieve before I added more juice mixture.

It took a good half hour, but here’s the juice! Yum!
